Hello Parents,
If you did not get a Confirmation booklet from last night's meeting, please let me know. The attendance was high! The Grade 6' s have completed the unit of being a good digital citizen and will be looking at theme 1 in the Fully Alive program. Please refer to www. arcb.on.ca/fully-alive/ for a detailed curriculum outline. We will then be contemplating the Image of God.

The grade 5 students have finished the unit on being a responsible digital citizen and will be continuing with theme 1 in Fully Alive. We are also discussing the gospel value of Dignity of the Person and will be contemplating treating each other with tolerance and respect.

Happy Thanksgiving Parents,

I wish you a blessed long weekend spent with your loved ones. May we all take a moment to reflect on our many blessings and show gratitude by the way we treat each other.

The grade 6's have done a super job in working together for the Terry Fox Run which will take place on the Tuesday right after Thanksgiving. We, as a school,  are going to meet in the gym after first recess for a short assembly and then will be running together outside as a whole school community. Please feel free to join us. Below are the gr.6 and gr.5 bulletin boards.

Hello Parents,
I am looking forward to seeing you at the BBQ on Thursday September 21. Please introduce yourself to me and take a look at what your child has done so far this year.

If you are having your child receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, the meeting will be held at St. Isidore's Parish Hall at 7:00 p.m. on October 18. I hope to see you there.

The grade 5's will be starting Theme 1 in Fully Alive. This theme is based on the love of our families and the respect we show each other.

Hello Parents!
I am excited to be your child's Religion teacher this year. Please check this blog for updates and pictures that will keep you informed of what we are doing in class.
We have begun to set-up our prayer shelf and I encourage any special memento that your child would like to display on it, to do so. The grade 5 religious symbol is the rock and the grade 6 symbol is the lantern. We will be discussing their significance and creating one of our own.

If you would like to view the Fully Alive Program, it can be found on the website: acbo.on.ca/fully-alive/. We will be starting theme 1 in the near future.

Welcome to a brand new year!!

Hello Parents,
Both of my classes have completed theme 4 in the Fully Alive Program. The theme for this unit was on the importance of commitments in our lives and their fulfillment.

The grade 5's will be creating skits on commitment and the grade 6's will be researching a person who has shown a great commitment in their life
.
There will be a school mass held at St.Isidore's church on Thursday May 4 at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome. Some of the grade 5's will have speaking parts.

A guest will be speaking on her Islamic faith next Thursday at 2:20 to the grade 6's. It should be very informative for us all. I think it is important to understand and be appreciative of  other people's  beliefs and the commonalities that we all share.
