Hello Parents,
We are finally getting warmer weather! Happy spring to all of you. We are approaching the end of our Easter Season with Pentecost Sunday June 4). We will be discussing Pentecost and its significance in both my classes.

The grade 6's have finished up their person of Commitment projects and will be looking at Theme 5 in Fully Alive dealing with personal values and in the world. They will be looking at the Gifts we receive from the Holy Spirit and creatively showcasing a particular gift.

The grade 5's are working on a Stewardship project and presenting it through a medium of their choice They will also be looking at theme 5 in the fully alive text dealing with making the world a better place.

Hello Parents,
Both of my classes have completed theme 4 in the Fully Alive Program. The theme for this unit was on the importance of commitments in our lives and their fulfillment.

The grade 5's will be creating skits on commitment and the grade 6's will be researching a person who has shown a great commitment in their life
.
There will be a school mass held at St.Isidore's church on Thursday May 4 at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome. Some of the grade 5's will have speaking parts.

A guest will be speaking on her Islamic faith next Thursday at 2:20 to the grade 6's. It should be very informative for us all. I think it is important to understand and be appreciative of  other people's  beliefs and the commonalities that we all share.
